Conditions of Service

Frame Relay Services are provided at the discretion of the ARDICOM and subject to the availability of suitable facilities. (Specific communities serviced are identified in the Network section of this site. Click Here)

Core Network Availability:

The Frame Relay Services network availability time measurement is equal to the total number of minutes in a calendar month during which core network components are available divided by the total number of minutes in a calendar month ("Network Availability Time") and expressed as a percentage. For purposes of measuring Network Availability Time, the network components include the network infrastructure connectivity from Service Connection to Service Connection and excludes the telecommunications hardware located at the Customer's site and supplied by Northwestel (i.e. data set, router or multiplexer) or that supplied by the Customer ("Customer Premises Equipment" or "CPE") and access services. Network Availability Time Objective: The objective is an average of 99.5% in any given month.

Definitions:

”Permanent Virtual Circuits“ (PVC's) provide connectivity among the distributed Customer data equipment using logical connections.

”Committed Information Rate“ (CIR) refers to Customer specified bandwidth for which transmission throughout has been guaranteed on a Permanent Virtual Circuit (PVC) basis. CIR is measured in bits per second.

”Port Connection“ refers to a physical port in the Central-Office located frame relay switch.

Each physical port on the frame relay switch defines one port connection. Port Connection speed determines the rate data enters the frame relay network, not the speed it travels through the network.

Port Connection, Usage and Local Access:

Port Connection, Usage and Local Access charges are bundled. Port Connection provides an access port on the Central-Office located frame relay switch. Port Connection speed determines the rate the data enters the frame relay network, not the speed it travels through the network. Please contact us for more information, sales@ardicom.ca or phone (867) 669-0057.

Optional Committed Information Rates (CIR):

CIR refers to customer specified bandwidth for which transmission throughput has been guaranteed on a Permanent Virtual Circuit (PVC) basis.

Service Conditions: The Customer is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of customer premise equipment required to access the Frame Relay Services (e.g. Frame Relay Access Device/Router). The Frame Relay Services will be provisioned within its operating limitations and equipment capabilities.
